Following this session, a personalised coaching proposal is created, outlining the recommended number of sessions, focus areas, and investment.
Most coaching programmes include six sessions, each lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.
The first session is a discovery session, which may incorporate psychometric tools such as Insights Discovery®, Motivational Maps® or StrengthsFinder® to explore your:
Personality and working style
Communication preferences
Strengths and motivators
Development areas and blind spots
This process provides a baseline of understanding and shapes the focus of your coaching programme.
NeuroWorks’ Coaching Approach
The NeuroWorks coaching approach is grounded in over 20 years of executive coaching experience, combined with deep expertise in neurodiversity and inclusion.
Our coaches apply the same professional standards used in executive coaching practice, with additional sensitivity to the challenges and opportunities often experienced by neurodivergent individuals and managers. These focus areas typically include:
Managing Tasks and Work
- Planning, organising, and prioritising workload (executive functioning)
- Managing focus, attention, and task initiation
- Tracking information effectively (working memory)
- Communicating clearly and meeting deadlines
Managing Self
- Emotional regulation and time management
- Navigating office politics and relationships
- Resisting impulsive behaviours and understanding organisational norms
Social Interaction and Communication
- Interpreting non-verbal cues and figurative language
- Managing sensory sensitivities or overload
- Developing balanced, professional communication habits
Confidence and Self-Esteem
- Overcoming self-doubt and limiting beliefs
- Building self-confidence and resilience
- Managing mood, energy and motivation
Managing Change
- Navigating organisational or personal transitions
- Adapting to new environments or expectations
- Managing uncertainty with confidence and clarity
While these challenges can affect anyone, research shows they are particularly common among neurodivergent individuals and addressing them can unlock exceptional potential.

I then decided I wanted to take this further and went about setting up a programme throughout the year (6 sessions in total) to push my ability to manage better, professionally and set clearer personal boundaries.
Each session was with purpose and focus yet carried out in a way that just flowed, with the correct working tools, ways to address and action situations I had previously faced.
